Mount Helix Park
Located in La Mesa CA, Mount Helix Park is a natural preserve that is open year-round. It is home to a variety of native plants. It is a great place for hiking or picnicking. It also hosts various events, including lectures, pop-up community events, and donation-based drop-in Yoga classes.
Mount Helix Park is managed by the Mount Helix Foundation. There are two parking lots. The upper lot is near the amphitheater, and the lower lot is near the San Miguel Fire Station. The park is open from 5:30 am to 5:00 pm.
One of the most popular events at the park is the heART of Mt. Helix, which includes a large outdoor amphitheater and fine wines, craft beer, and local artists. The event is a fundraiser that raises half of the annual operating expenses of the park.
Swami’s
Located just east of the 125 Freeway, Briercrest Park is one of La Mesa’s newest parks. It was renovated in 2006. It was originally designed for older adults and children, but it is now open to the public.
The park offers pathways for walking and respite from the busy traffic of La Mesa. It also has three acres of gardens. It is one of the newest of La Mesa’s fourteen parks. The park was designed by Schmidt Design Group Inc. and received an award for landscape architecture from the San Diego Architectural Foundation in 2007.
The park hosts several events. It is also a popular spot for residents to gather. Some of the events include outdoor exercise sessions and mini-concerts. It also has a memorial cross that offers panoramic views of La Mesa and San Diego. A great post!
San Pasqual Winery
Located in the heart of downtown La Mesa, CA, the San Pasqual Winery is a proudly California establishment. It has been around since the 1970s, when it was a small family winery in the San Pasqual Valley. Later, it was reinvented as an urban winery. Now, it offers wine pairings, gift packages, and even wine bottles for sale.
The city of La Mesa is known for its walkable neighborhoods and tree-lined streets. Many of the homes in the area are priced around $557,000. A number of big box retailers also call La Mesa home. The city is also known for its thriving economy.
